Our philosophy

Thoughtfully Human.

Some things can't be automated. There's no substitute for genuine human connection.

A familiar face. A conversation over a cup of tea. Someone who remembers the little things.

At The Tended Life, booking is simple and the details are handled for you. What matters most is the person who walks through your door, and the care they bring with them.

Our story

A Personal Welcome from Tina

Why I created The Tended Life, and why a little dependable help can make such a difference.

A personal promise from our founder

The Tended Life was created from a simple belief: everyone deserves someone they can count on.

When you trust us with your home or someone you love, we understand the responsibility that comes with it.

We want to build something more meaningful than a list of services. We want to build relationships that make everyday life a little easier.

— Tina, Founder, The Tended Life

Hi, I'm Tina, founder of The Tended Life.

I created this business after experiencing firsthand how much a little dependable help can mean when you're caring for someone you love. When my mother needed assistance with everyday things, I saw how the smallest acts of help could make the biggest difference.

I believe human connection matters more than ever. That's why The Tended Life is built around real people: a familiar face, a little conversation, and help you can count on.

Because behind every household, every request, and every busy schedule is a real person who deserves to feel supported.

Tina Singh, Founder
How it works

Three simple steps.

  1. 1

    Let's Get Acquainted

Tell us what would make life easier. We'll talk through your needs, preferences, and schedule.

  2. 2

    Meet Your Concierge

We'll arrange a suitable concierge and confirm the details before your visit.

  3. 3

    Enjoy a Little Breathing Room

Your concierge helps with the agreed tasks, and we'll check in afterward to see how everything went.

Your trust matters

Your home. Your family. Our responsibility.

Inviting someone into your home is personal. We understand that trust isn't something you give automatically. It's something we have to earn.

That's why The Tended Life is committed to carefully selecting the people who represent us, getting to know the families we serve, and creating relationships built on reliability, respect, and genuine care.

Thoughtfully Selected

We look beyond experience and qualifications. We look for kindness, sound judgment, reliability, and the ability to make people feel genuinely comfortable.

The Right Person for Your Family

Every household is different. We take time to understand your needs, preferences, routines, and expectations before recommending a concierge.

Personal Accountability

The Tended Life remains your point of contact. If something isn't working, you can speak with us directly. We're here to make things right.

Example update to a family

Hi Dana, here's today's update on your mom.

We made a batch of her favorite lentil soup and two dinners for the week, picked up fruit and milk, and tidied the kitchen. She was in good spirits and loved talking about her garden.

Her eye appointment is confirmed for Thursday at 10am.

Warmly, your Tended Life concierge

All the help. None of the hassle.

Finding the right person, coordinating visits, handling payments, and managing changes can become another job on your list. The Tended Life brings those details together, making everyday support simpler, more personal, and easier to manage.

Questions

Good to know.

Who will come into my home?

A concierge from our local Tucson network. We get to know each concierge before welcoming them, then match them to the services you need, your preferences, your location, and availability.

How are your concierges selected?

We take the responsibility of selecting concierges seriously, and we're putting our selection process in place now, ahead of our first visits. It's designed to include personal interviews, identity verification, professional references, appropriate background checks, and an assessment of each candidate's judgment, experience, and suitability for the services they provide.

We also want to understand who they are as people, because reliability, kindness, and respect matter just as much as experience.

Can I speak with my concierge before our first visit?

Just ask when we arrange your first visit. We'll let you know who your concierge will be and, where we can, arrange a short call before your first visit.

Can I request the same concierge for recurring visits?

We prioritize familiar faces for recurring arrangements, subject to availability.

What if my concierge is unavailable?

We'll contact you to help reschedule or, when available, arrange another concierge.

What if something doesn't go as expected?

Contact The Tended Life directly. We'll listen, look into it, and work with you toward a resolution.

Who provides groceries and household supplies?

You do. Groceries, ingredients, and household supplies are paid for separately from your service hours, and we'll agree how purchases are handled when we arrange your first visit.

Is this medical or personal care?

No. The Tended Life provides nonmedical lifestyle and household assistance.

Can I arrange support for someone who lives in Tucson when I live elsewhere?

Yes. We can help coordinate practical assistance and, with the client's permission, keep family members informed.

Do I need to commit to monthly service?

No. You can begin with an introductory visit or occasional assistance.

How do payments work?

You arrange and pay for services through The Tended Life, not directly with a concierge.

Can you drive someone to appointments?

Not yet. We can help coordinate appointments and keep schedules on track. We're reviewing what's needed to offer rides safely and will let you know when transportation becomes available.

How does the Founding Family offer work?

The first 10 households to enroll in a monthly plan receive 10% off for their first six months. Standard pricing applies after that. An introductory visit alone doesn't reserve a place, but if you join a monthly plan within 30 days of it, you can lock in Founding Family pricing while places remain.

Is The Tended Life insured?

We're currently arranging business insurance appropriate to the services we provide, and we'll share the details here once coverage is in place. If you have questions in the meantime, please ask us.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Visits can be changed or cancelled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations are charged at 50% of the visit, and we waive this for emergencies. See our Visit & Cancellation Policy.

Visit & Cancellation Policy

Your concierge sets aside time for you, so we ask for a little notice when plans change.

Changing or cancelling a visit
Free with at least 24 hours' notice. Just call or text us.
Less than 24 hours' notice
50% of the scheduled visit is charged, or half the visit's hours are deducted from your monthly plan.
Missed visits
If your concierge arrives and can't access the home or reach anyone, the full visit is charged.
Emergencies
We waive late-cancellation charges for hospital stays, medical emergencies and family emergencies.
If we need to reschedule
We'll let you know as soon as possible and offer a new time or another concierge partner when available. You're never charged for a visit we cancel.
Changing or ending a monthly plan
Give us 30 days' notice. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing month. Ending a plan during the first six months ends Founding Family pricing.

How we'll get to know you.

This is the selection process we're putting in place as we prepare for our first clients. Details may be refined before we begin matching concierges with families.

  1. Submit your application.

Services you offer (choose any)

Part 1: Everyday scenarios

Choose the answer closest to what you would actually do. There are no trick questions.

1. You're due at a client's home at 9:00. At 8:30 you realize you'll be about 20 minutes late.
2. Mrs. R asks you to fill her weekly pill organizer from her bottles. She says her daughter usually does it.
3. A neighbor stops you in the hallway: “How's Mrs. R really doing? Is she losing it?”
4. A client presses $50 into your hand “for being so kind.”
5. While making lunch, you find spoiled food in the fridge, and Mr. T seems more confused than last week.
6. Mrs. L loves to talk and keeps pulling you into conversation. Meal prep is falling behind.
7. You accidentally break a client's favorite mug.
8. You finish the agreed tasks 20 minutes early. The laundry is piling up.
9. You arrive to find Mr. T on the floor. He says he's fine and asks you to help him up.

Part 2: In your own words

A few sentences each is plenty. Real examples from work, family or volunteering all count.

Part 3: Your work style (optional)

No right answers. This helps us match you with families who suit you.
